A Mark Zuckerberg Blog

Development of FACebook

hello! MR.Mark Zuckerberg..i had some development ideas for facebook.
That i have thought few development changes in FB like the introduction of
>”VOICE MAIL”,
>Security for photo’s,
>time limit For Minors

I have sent a clear details to you.so that U would get a clear idea  about this;-

»>(1)VOICEMAIL:-This icon should B created just like notifications, messages etc.
by creating this icon there ‘ll be more excitement in every fb user other than messages or requests when they get this icon.
IF there is problem about storage capacity(i.e data) for evry fb user means..
then try 2 create this icon  for jus 2 min’s by collabrating wid reputed company den it will B no prblm.

if storage prblm means i’ve a idea..even for that
»The fb user shud’ve only TEN voice mails messages in his iNbox

i.e IF he gets 11Th voice message, the very 1st voice msg shud automatically deleted.
By doing this it saves the storage capacaity in evry fb user.

»>(2)security for photo’s;In some arab countries, the use of FB is restricted. To make it more friendly usuage social network
it shud’ve “SECURITY for photo’s”

i.e:-when the stranger views a image of unkown Fb user he/she shud not get any type of FB link(or)http address to hack or trace others.
so that mostly the hackers cannot hack or copy the images of others..in FB

»(3)Time limit for Minors:-As we know this is been creating a major problem due to the addiction of FB.
AS we even know that researches have confirmed that out-of-TEN Fb user’s more than & people checking Fb before going to sleep.ANd in a sum countries.the parents n goverments are Against FB.

To regulate this, the children who are under below 18(minors)..the fb user shud jus create “Time limit” app

>)(i.e) IF the minor Fb user is more than 5 hrs in fb usuage his account should be automatically stopped for dat day only .
By that there will B no prblm form the government n parent’s side hence it will B’came a friendly network

IF you lik’d my ideas then gimme a “REPLAY” so that i can work on this n make changes in it
even i had “TWO” more ideas about the development
i ll B sending the other 2 ideas when get a REPLAY frm ur’s side…
Im a 16 year kid..

i am not mark zuckerberg

nor do i know anyone at facebook

i can’t help you at all

Instead of doing a check-in that had an optional photo, we thought, Why don’t we do a photo that has an optional check-in?

Mark Zuckerberg and Kevin Systrom on What Really Happened When Facebook Bought Instagram | Vanity Fair

A must read. This long read tells the story behind the Facebook/Instagram deal.

You learn that intuition, and courage are the key elements to make your idea a success. But not only. Relationships, human connections and trust will help you take the leap of faith, and make your users stay as well.

This article is an exploration of the Silicon Valley ecosystem. Silicon Valley is not a spirit or a place.

Silicon Valley is people.

With a new political advocacy group that plans to inject millions of dollars into shaping public policy coast to coast, Mark Zuckerberg is taking a significant step onto the political stage, expanding his influence far beyond his home turf in Silicon Valley.

The billionaire founder and chief executive of Facebook made it official Thursday that he plans to take on a far more visible national role in launching Fwd.us, which will lobby for the passage of comprehensive immigration reform, investments in scientific research and higher educational standards. He has the backing of some of Silicon Valley’s most prominent executives, including Google Inc. Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt and Yahoo Inc. Chief Executive Marissa Mayer.

Fwd.us has raised $25 million and hopes to double that amount. It has hired a high-powered team of consultants and lobbyists on both sides of the political aisle to help press the technology industry’s agenda in Washington.

Equally ambitious are Zuckerberg’s plans to rally support for those causes closer to home. Fwd.us, headed by his Harvard roommate and Silicon Valley entrepreneur Joe Green, is bringing on an organizing director and plans to hire community organizers in tech hubs across the country to encourage technology workers to become more engaged in politics and turn out support on social media for industry causes — a tactic that helped defeat Hollywood-sponsored anti-piracy legislation.

Fwd.us is kicking off its efforts with a push for undocumented workers to become U.S. citizens and for an increase in the flow of skilled guest workers into the U.S. The launch of the group comes as a group of senators prepare to deliver a long-awaited immigration bill that would increase the number of visas available for highly skilled workers in science and technology.

“We have a strange immigration policy for a nation of immigrants,” Zuckerberg, 28, wrote in an editorial piece for the Washington Post. “And it’s a policy unfit for today’s world.”

We have a strange immigration policy for a nation of immigrants. And it’s a policy unfit for today’s world.

The economy of the last century was primarily based on natural resources, industrial machines and manual labor. Many of these resources were zero-sum and controlled by companies. If someone else had an oil field, then you did not. There were only so many oil fields, and only so much wealth could be created from them.

Today’s economy is very different. It is based primarily on knowledge and ideas — resources that are renewable and available to everyone. Unlike oil fields, someone else knowing something doesn’t prevent you from knowing it, too. In fact, the more people who know something, the better educated and trained we all are, the more productive we become, and the better off everyone in our nation can be.

This can change everything. In a knowledge economy, the most important resources are the talented people we educate and attract to our country. A knowledge economy can scale further, create better jobs and provide a higher quality of living for everyone in our nation.

To lead the world in this new economy, we need the most talented and hardest-working people. We need to train and attract the best.

Thoughtful, necessary Washington Post op-ed on the knowledge economy and immigration reform by Mark Zuckerberg. (via explore-blog)

At one level, [Home] is just the next mobile version of Facebook. At a deeper level, I think this can start to be a change in the relationship that we have with how we use computing devices.” -Mark Zuckerberg at the Facebook Home announcement address.

Reading Between The Lines Of Mark Zuckerberg’s Vision Statement

Home, Facebook’s new Android app-slash-skin, is worth investigating. It runs along a new axis of user experience, un-cordons the app, and shows how Facebook is becoming less of a product and more of a service.

But beyond being immersive, low-friction, and whatever other buzzword descriptors you’d like to attach to it, Home is a recognition a subtle and profound paradigm shift.
